Whats up!
Been awhile since I’ve posted, so I’ve decided to give a quick update on a fast, easy, and nutrition-loaded dinner that’s perfect for a long day of work or to supplement those hard-earned gains at the gym.
INGREDIENTS (1 serving)
-1 filet of salmon
-1 avocado
-1/2 lemon
-1/8th-1/4th onion, diced
-Salt and pepper for seasoning
PROCEDURE
1) Season and cook salmon (I used a convection oven at 400F for about 25 minutes)
2) Once salmon is finished, fork and shred out the salmon in a bowl
3) Spoon out the avocado from its shell and mix it with the shredded salmon, add lemon juice from lemon, and onion. Mix will for even distribution
4) Transfer the mixture back into the avocado shell to STUFF it up. You can alternatively put it in between bread and make a sandwich. Enjoy!
OBSERVATIONS
Approx Time: 30 minutes
Difficulty: 2/10
-Chicken breast can also be used to supplement for the salmon!
-Juice from lime or lemon not only adds to the flavor, but the acidity from the citric acid prevents the avocado from oxidizing; allowing it to maintain its tasty green color
-This dish is loaded with nutrients; proteins from salmon as well as healthy monounsaturated fats and vitamins from the avocado. Eat this dish with a complex carb source (brown rice, whole grain breads, etc.) to get maximum benefits from all macronutrients!
